NINE INCH NAILS

How to achieve the ‘airbrushed’ effect nails;

Step 1- Paint your nail with your base colour (I usually go for white or a nude but a bright colour will work just as well);

Step 2- Take a normal bath sponge and break off a small part, preferably long and thin as it’s a good shape to dab onto the nail;

Step 3- Choose your second nail colour, this will be the airbrushed top colour. Take the nail varnish brush and dab it onto the sponge until one side is completely covered. Make sure the sponge is coated but not completely drenched in nail varnish, you should still be able to see the shape of the sponge through the colour, dab off the excess if you need to;

Step 4- Starting from the top, gently pat the sponge onto the nail and work your way half way down the nail, applying less pressure as you go along, this keeps the faded effect. You will get quite a lot of nail varnish on your fingers but you can remove this after.

Step 5- Repeat on each of your nails until complete. Once dried, apply a top coat. Use a cotton bud and nail varnish remover to tidy up around your nails.

And they are finished!
