After an amazing sunny bank holiday weekend, the first day back at work can really feel like a drag… BUT, the sun is shining and here is the first glance at one of my bank holiday weekend outfits.
Brought from the Topshop Safari collection, this playsuit is fun, colourful and on-trend with its bold tribal look.
There is so much ‘Lego Green’ in my wardrobe this summer, I absolutely love it, and I think it looks great with blonde hair too- so lucky me!
This playsuit feels almost silky to touch and is incredibly comfortable. I wore it in the daytime with a leather jacket and trainers for a laid back look but if you paired this with some wooden heels and a silky bomber this would look great in the evening too and would definitely make you stand out from the crowd.
I customised this slightly by tapering in the bottom of the trousers with some fabric to make the legs slightly skinner. If I hadn’t have done this they would have just hung straight down. This would have been perfect if I was wearing heels but I thought the trousers needed slightly more structure when wearing flats/ trainers. It’s easily adjustable and it’s quite nice having the freedom of changing the style of this, it really does make a difference to the whole outfit.
The bold green leaves are heavily outlined in black and are on a cream base colour so it is really easy to accessorise and dress up or down. Taking either one of these colours and using it as your main accessory colour will really bring the outfit together. Only chose one of these colours though, mixing black and cream with this would confuse the look. You can also opt to totally clash up your look by adding more ‘Safari’ style accessories.
I chose big, bold, OTT jewellery to wear with this playsuit giving it a street/ retro style. This would also look great with lots of beads and wooden jewellery.
I’m wearing: Topshop playsuit, Miss Selfridge jacket, Converse, Gogo Philip gold chain bracelet, H&M earings, Moschino belt, Vivienne Westwood bag and Jimmy Choo sunglasses.
